    types of wood

Whether colour, shape or smell - every wood is different. And that is exactly what makes every piece of wood and the piece of jewelery made from it something very unique. Here we present some of the types of wood that we use for our creations.

Walnut - An all-rounder among the types of wood

For us, the nut tree is one of the most wonderful trees. At the same time, he supplies the most exclusive domestic wood. What makes him special? A characteristic feature is its gray-brown color. But its incredibly beautiful grain and pattern also make the walnut extraordinary. Its wood is very light and easy to work with.

Origin of our walnut tree: Western Styria

Plum – the versatile piece of wood

The wood of the plum tree is also incredible. Sometimes it glows pink with green inclusions. Other times it shines in strong dark brown, light brown or reddish brown tones. This makes the plum an incredibly versatile wood. For us it is unique among fruit trees. It is lovely, playful and at the same time elegant - just like the pieces of jewelry that we create from it.

Origin of our plum: Western Styria

Rebholz/Weinstock - the living among the woods

Discovered by chance, thought to be beautiful and gladly added to the range. This is how our favorites from vine wood came about. The vine wood of the vine is our liveliest wood. The many cracks, its sometimes dark and sometimes light wood give it its unique charm.

Origin of our vine wood/vine: South-West Styria

Ebony - the black gold of Africa

The beautiful, deep black ebony rounds off our collections very well and is therefore indispensable. Because of its color, it is like the famous little black dress. It just always suits every skin type. The import of this wood is limited and is checked very strictly. From our point of view, this is absolutely important and correct in order to counteract illegal deforestation. Because there is no domestic alternative to ebony, we pay great attention to a tested and, above all, legal import of this rare and high-quality wood.

Origin of our ebony: Africa, Madagascar

Maple – for combinations of all kinds

We always like the light maple wood. Because it is perfect for combinations of all kinds. We like to combine it with walnut in particular. But the light maple wood also gives other types of wood that certain something. The wood is very light, yellowish to white and can also be wonderfully processed into a wide variety of masterpieces.

Origin of our maple: Western Styria
